Support at Queens

These services aren’t LGBT+ specific but are available to all QUB students who find themselves needing help.


Advice SU provides free, independent, confidential and non-judgemental advice if and when you need it to do with issues like money, education, accommodation, funding your course and your health & well-being.

There’s loads of information on their website but you can book an appointment or go to one of their drop in sessions for face to face advice.

The SabbSU Logoatical officers at the student’s union help and represent all students. Their office is located on the 2nd floor of the student union.   If you ever need help they can be contacted by phone and email.  Contact details for each of the current team can be found at the following links; President, Equality and Diversity Officer, Welfare Officer, Education Officer and Activities Officer. If you want to be involved in their campaigns need support or advice about issues relating to your education, housing, Saftey or health get in touch with the relevant officer.  There is also a part-time LGBT Officer that you can contact with specific LGBT+ issues
Student guidance centre


While not LGBT+ specific the Student Guidance Centre offers a range of services to support students including counselling, resilience and well-being and disability services.  If you need to speak to someone they offer 24-hour telephone support from a counsellor, free from mobile and landline, on 0808 800 0016.
